Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 1 pound boneless chicken breast can be substituted with thighs
For the Vegetables
  • 2 cups chopped bell peppers red, yellow, and green
  • 2 fresh jalapeños remove seeds for milder heat
  • 3 cloves chopped green onions
For the Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low-sodium recommended
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce or teriyaki sauce
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sriracha adjust to taste
For Seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • salt and black pepper to taste
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil can substitute with vegetable or canola oil
For Garnish
  • fresh cilantro for topping

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  2. Add bell peppers and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes until the peppers are tender but still crisp.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sriracha. Toss to coat the chicken and vegetables and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and top with sliced jalapeños, green onions, and cilantro.
  5. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
