  • 1 cup shredded romaine lettuce
  • 2 medium tomatoes cut into rounds
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon hot chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Begin by frying the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until it reaches a crispy texture, which should take around 6-8 minutes. Once done, place the bacon on paper towels to absorb excess grease.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the mayonnaise, hot chili sauce, lime juice, salt, and pepper, stirring until well blended to form a zesty spread.
  3. Toast the multigrain bread slices in a toaster or on a grill until they are golden and crisp.
  4. Generously smear the spicy mayonnaise mixture on one side of each toasted slice.
  5. Assemble the sandwiches by layering the shredded romaine, tomato slices, crispy bacon, and avocado on four of the bread slices.
  6. Cap the sandwiches with the remaining slices, sauce side down, pressing gently to secure the fillings.
  7. Slice each sandwich diagonally and serve right away for the best flavor.
