Begin by heating the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the ground beef and break it up with a wooden spoon. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is well-browned, about 6-8 minutes.
Once the beef is cooked through, press it down with the spoon to create a crispy layer, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
While the beef is cooking, warm the large flour tortillas in a separate pan or in the microwave until they are soft and flexible.
To create the wraps, place a generous portion of the crispy beef in the center of each tortilla.
Layer on the Monterey Jack cheese, shredded lettuce, avocado slices, and jalapeños.
Drizzle barbecue sauce over the filling, then carefully fold the sides of the tortilla inwards and roll it up tightly to form a wrap.
For added crispiness, return the wraps to the skillet and cook on each side for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
