Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons loose green tea or 4 green tea bags
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the loose green tea or tea bags. Steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
  2. Strain the tea into a pitcher, discarding the tea leaves or bags. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  3. In a blender, combine the fresh blueberries and honey or agave syrup. Blend until smooth.
  4. Strain the blueberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve into the pitcher with the cooled tea, pressing to extract as much juice as possible.
  5. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and mix well.
  6. Refrigerate the tea for at least 1 hour to chill.
  7. Serve over ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes
