  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. If using, fold in the white chocolate chips.
  5. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
