Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup almond milk or any milk of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips optional

Method

  1. Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. In a blender, combine the rolled oats, chocolate protein powder, baking powder, and salt. Blend until the oats are finely ground.
  3. Add the almond milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  4. If desired, stir in the dark chocolate chips.
  5. Lightly grease the waffle maker with cooking spray or a small amount of oil. Pour the batter into the preheated waffle maker, using about 1/2 cup of batter per waffle (adjust based on your waffle maker's size).
  6. Close the waffle maker and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 4-5 minutes, until the waffles are golden brown.
  7. Carefully remove the waffles and serve warm with your favorite toppings, such as fresh fruit, yogurt, or additional maple syrup.
