Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh peaches peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice about 4-6 lemons
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish optional

Method

  1. In a blender, combine the sliced peaches and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the pulp, pressing down with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible.
  2. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar to the peach juice in the pitcher. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Pour in the remaining 3 cups of water and mix until combined. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
  4. Chill the peach lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  5. Serve over ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
