Ingredients
  

  • 3 pounds assorted chicken cuts legs, thighs, or breasts
  • 1 cup of your preferred barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, black pepper, and apple cider vinegar to create a marinade.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
  4. Arrange the marinated chicken on the lined baking sheet, skin-side up, and brush half of the barbecue sauce over the chicken.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. In the last 10 minutes of baking, apply the remaining barbecue sauce to the chicken.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
