Crab Mixture
  • 1 pound lump crab meat fresh or canned
  • 4 ounces cream cheese can substitute with Neufchâtel
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Greek yogurt can be a substitute
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard yellow mustard can be an alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning or paprika and cayenne mix
Topping
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs gluten-free breadcrumbs are available

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the lump crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and Old Bay seasoning. Gently fold these ingredients together until well mixed.
  3. Lightly grease a baking dish. Transfer the crab mixture into the dish, smoothing the top with a spatula. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top if using.
  4. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  5. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh herbs or lemon if desired. Serve warm.
