Ingredients
  

For the Beef Marinade
  • 1 lb Skirt Steak or flank steak or sirloin
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce use tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar or honey, coconut sugar optional
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil toasted for deeper flavor
  • 3 cloves Garlic Cloves or garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Grated Ginger or ground ginger
  • 1 small Grated Onion or shallots
  • 2 tbsp Gochujang or Korean chili flakes; optional
For the Wraps
  • 8 leaves Iceberg Lettuce or butter or romaine lettuce
  • 2 cups Cooked White Rice or brown rice, quinoa
  • 2 cups Broccoli or any quick-cooking vegetable
  • 2 stalks Green Onions for garnish
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds toasted for flavor

Method
 

Marinating and Cooking Beef
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and grated onion. Whisk until sugar is dissolved. Add gochujang and skirt steak, cover, and refrigerate for 15 to 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes. Add marinated skirt steak in a single layer, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
Preparing Rice and Broccoli
  1. Prepare rice according to package instructions.
  2. Steam or sauté broccoli until tender-crisp, about 3-5 minutes.
Assembling Wraps
  1. Using two lettuce leaves per wrap, layer cooked rice, sliced beef, and broccoli. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve immediately.
