  • 1 cup Butter Softened for easy mixing.
  • 2 large Eggs Can substitute with flaxseed meal for vegan.
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt A pinch enhances sweetness.
For the Washboard Topping
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Milk Yogurt can be substituted for tangy touch.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Can also use almond extract.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer until pale and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  6. Use a cookie scoop to drop rounded balls of dough onto baking sheets, flattening slightly.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set.
  8. While baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for icing.
  9. Cool cookies for 5 minutes on sheets before transferring to wire rack.
  10. Once cooled, drizzle icing over the cookies.
  11. Serve and enjoy with family and friends!
