  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed) Fresh juice enhances flavor.
For the Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (chopped) Other herbs can be used for variety.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Adjust to taste.
Optional Additions
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest Sprinkle just before serving.

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter until fully liquid and bubbling slightly. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  4. Lay the fresh cod fillets in the greased baking dish and drizzle the garlic butter mixture over them.
  5. Sprinkle the fillets with salt and pepper according to taste.
  6. Bake the cod in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Once cooked, remove the cod from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
