Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) with the rack in the middle position.
  2. Brush a 9-inch springform pan with melted unsalted butter.
  3. Roll out pizza dough to 1/8 inch thickness and cut into 1 ½” by 2” pieces.
  4. Wrap each lil’ smokie in a dough rectangle, sealing the edges tightly.
  5. Arrange the wrapped smokies upright in the springform pan, packing them snugly.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before serving.
  9. Prepare the cheese sauce by melting butter, whisking in flour, adding milk until thick, and then folding in mustard and cheese.
