Step‑By‑Step Instructions

  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
  6. Once baked, let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes and then cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. For the frosting, beat together softened cream cheese and butter until fluffy, then add powdered sugar and vanilla until well blended.
  8. Level the cooled cake layers, frost the top of the first layer, place the second layer on top, and frost the sides and top.
