  2. Preheat skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of oil to coat. The skillet is ready when a drop of water sizzles.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties about ½-inch thick. Cook in the hot skillet for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip each patty gently and cook for another 4-5 minutes until both sides are brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  5. For baked patties, preheat oven to 375°F (190°C), arrange patties on a lined baking sheet, and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway.
