  • 2 cups frozen shredded hashbrowns thawed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or oil for the waffle maker

Method
 

  1. Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions. Lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hashbrowns, egg, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Scoop about 1/2 cup of the mixture and place it in the center of the preheated waffle maker. Close the lid and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the chaffle is golden brown and crispy.
  4. Carefully remove the chaffle and repeat the process with the remaining mixture, greasing the waffle maker as needed.
