  • 1 stalk Celery finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cajun Seasoning adjust to taste

  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese cubed
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 0.5 cup Fontina Cheese or Gruyere/Havarti
For Seasoning and Garnishing

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your broiler to low, slice the French baguette, and brush each side with olive oil. Toast in the broiler for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  2. In a medium skillet, heat olive oil and sauté chopped onion and celery for about 1 minute. Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Add minced shrimp and cook until pink and opaque. Stir in cajun seasoning and cook for another 30 seconds.
  4. Lower heat and add cream cheese, parmesan, and fontina to the skillet. Stir until melted into a creamy mixture, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Season the shrimp mixture with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. Spoon onto toasted baguette slices.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F, transfer the slices to a dish and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with green onions and serve warm.
