  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a 9x13 inch casserole dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Cook the ziti in salted boiling water for about 5-7 minutes until just shy of al dente, then drain and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. In a skillet, brown the Italian sausage and then add garlic, oregano, and basil before pouring in tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Whisk heavy cream and cornstarch over medium-low heat until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Mix beaten eggs, cottage cheese, Parmesan, and half of the mozzarella in a bowl, then combine with the thickened cream.
