Ingredients
  

For the Dough
  • 1 cup Warm Water About 110°F
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar Granulated
  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast 2 1/4 teaspoons
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Plus more for dusting
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Melted
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 1/2 cup Sugar Granulated
  • 2 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  3. Add flour, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 5 minutes.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Shaping and Baking
  1. After rising, punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangle.
  2. Cut the dough into strips and shape each strip into a pretzel shape.
  3. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add baking soda and briefly boil each pretzel for 30 seconds.
  4. Remove pretzels and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Mix sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle generously over each pretzel.
  6. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Allow pretzels to cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before serving.
