Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Brown the Butter: In a medium saucepan, melt ½ cup of salted butter over medium heat. Stir continuously for about 5–7 minutes until the butter turns a rich golden brown and develops a nutty aroma.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 2 large eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whisk together until smooth.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  4. Integrate Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with ¾ cup of Greek yogurt. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Prepare Apples: Fold in 2 cups of diced apples, ensuring even distribution without mushing them.
  6. Swirl Cinnamon: Combine 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a small bowl. Pour half the batter into a greased loaf pan, sprinkle cinnamon sugar over it, then add the remaining batter. Swirl gently.
  7. Bake the Loaf: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool and Glaze: Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for about 10–15 minutes before transferring it. Prepare maple glaze and drizzle generously over the cool loaf.
