Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs bone-in and skin-on
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup hot honey store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for extra heat
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and rub the spice mixture all over the chicken, ensuring even coverage.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the hot honey, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard. If you like it spicier, add the red pepper flakes.
  5. Place the seasoned chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the hot honey mixture over them, making sure they are well coated.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy.
  7. For an extra crispy finish, broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
