  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound total)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method
 

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. While the air fryer is heating, pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Rub the olive oil over the chicken breasts, then evenly coat them with the spice mixture.
  5. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken breasts over and brush them with half of the barbecue sauce.
  7. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Brush the remaining barbecue sauce over the chicken before slicing and serving.
