Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Cooking spray
  • For the glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the diced apples.
  5. Using a spoon or a cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each fritter.
  6. Air fry the fritters for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. While the fritters are cooking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.
  8. Once the fritters are done, remove them from the air fryer and drizzle the glaze over the top while they are still warm.
