Description

A savory and hearty Turkey Stuffing Casserole that combines cooked turkey, creamy soup, and cornbread stuffing for a delightful family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded or diced cooked turkey
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can of cream of celery soup
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 (6-ounce) package of cornbread stuffing mix
  • 1 cup frozen vegetable medley (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the shredded turkey, cream of celery soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, sage, oregano, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  3. Fold in the cornbread stuffing mix and frozen vegetable medley, ensuring even distribution.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, smoothing it out to create an even layer.
  5. Top the casserole with grated mozzarella cheese.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.
  8. Allow the dish to rest for a few moments before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, use a homemade cream sauce or reduced-fat soup instead of cream of celery.
  • For added texture, sprinkle crushed tortilla chips on top during the last few minutes of baking.
