A refreshing summer drink made with fresh strawberries, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 4 cups cold water
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Ice cubes
- Fresh strawberries and lime slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the strawberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the seeds and pulp.
- Add the cold water to the pitcher and stir well to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
- Chill the agua fresca in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve over ice in glasses, garnished with fresh strawberries and lime slices if desired.
Notes
- For a refreshing twist, add a handful of fresh mint leaves while blending.
- Substitute half of the strawberries with watermelon for a delicious watermelon-strawberry agua fresca.
