Description

Delicious shrimp tacos topped with a creamy avocado lime sauce, perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. While the shrimp is marinating, prepare the avocado lime sauce. In a blender or food processor, combine the avocado, sour cream, lime juice, garlic powder, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque. Remove from heat.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until pliable.
  5. To assemble the tacos, place a few shrimp on each tortilla, top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and fresh cilantro. Drizzle with avocado lime sauce.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra heat, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the tacos.
  • Substitute shrimp with grilled chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
