Description
A refreshing iced green tea infused with blueberries, perfect for a cool drink on a warm day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons loose green tea or 4 green tea bags
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the loose green tea or tea bags. Steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
- Strain the tea into a pitcher, discarding the tea leaves or bags. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
- In a blender, combine the fresh blueberries and honey or agave syrup. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the blueberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve into the pitcher with the cooled tea, pressing to extract as much juice as possible.
- Stir in the fresh lemon juice and mix well.
- Refrigerate the tea for at least 1 hour to chill.
- Serve over ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
- For a sparkling version, replace half of the water with sparkling water before serving.
- Add other fruits like raspberries or strawberries for a mixed berry flavor.
