Description

A refreshing summer drink made with ripe peaches and fresh lemon juice, perfect for hot days.


Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the sliced peaches and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the peach puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the pulp.
  3. Add the fresh lemon juice and sugar to the pitcher. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Pour in the remaining 3 cups of water and mix until combined.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
  6. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, replace half of the water with sparkling water just before serving.
  • Add a splash of vodka or rum for an adult twist on this refreshing drink.
