Description

A delicious and savory dish featuring ground beef and egg noodles, combined with fresh vegetables and a flavorful sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the broccoli and carrots, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ground ginger, and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the beef and vegetables in the skillet.
  7. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce mixture.
  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option, or use tofu for a vegetarian version.
