- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup crushed buttery crackers (like Ritz)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked, shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- If using, fold in the chopped green onions for added flavor.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, combine the crushed crackers and grated Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the chicken mixture in the baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a healthier version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream and use low-fat mayonnaise.
- Add vegetables like broccoli or spinach to the chicken mixture for extra nutrition and flavor.
