Description

A refreshing summer beverage combining the flavors of lemon and vanilla with black tea.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags and stir in the granulated sugar until fully dissolved.
  4. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then stir in the fresh lemon juice and vanilla extract.
  5. Refrigerate the tea for at least 1 hour to chill.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint if desired.
