Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, ground ginger, black pepper, and crushed red pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Seal or cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 4 hours.
  3. Heat grill or skillet over medium-high heat, adding olive oil if using a skillet.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess liquid drip off, and discard the leftover marinade.
  5. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and is golden-brown.
  6. Transfer chicken to a plate and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle chopped green onions over the chicken before serving.
