Description
Sweet and savory glazed chicken breasts marinated in a honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, ground ginger, black pepper, and crushed red pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended.
- Place chicken breasts in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Seal or cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 4 hours.
- Heat grill or skillet over medium-high heat, adding olive oil if using a skillet.
- Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess liquid drip off, and discard the leftover marinade.
- Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and is golden-brown.
- Transfer chicken to a plate and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle chopped green onions over the chicken before serving.
Notes
- For extra heat, increase crushed red pepper or add sriracha to the marinade.
- Pair with steamed rice or quinoa and drizzle additional honey garlic sauce on top for enhanced flavor.
