Description

A delicious and flavorful dish featuring rice noodles stir-fried with tender flank steak and a savory hoisin sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces of rice noodles
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, bell pepper, and snap peas. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet and add the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well to combine and heat through for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss everything together until the noodles are well coated with the sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute the flank steak with tofu or tempeh and use a plant-based hoisin sauce.
  • Add more vegetables like carrots, broccoli, or mushrooms for extra nutrition and flavor.
