Description

A delicious and indulgent twist on the classic grilled cheese, featuring glazed donuts, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and a drizzle of maple syrup.


Ingredients

  • 2 glazed donuts
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices of cooked bacon
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Slice each glazed donut in half horizontally to create a top and bottom.
  3. In the skillet, melt the butter. Once melted, place the bottom half of one donut in the skillet.
  4. Layer 2 slices of cheddar cheese on top of the donut half, followed by 2 slices of bacon.
  5. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of maple syrup over the bacon, then place the top half of the donut on top.
  6. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
  7. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  8. Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and drizzle with remaining maple syrup. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
