A delicious and indulgent twist on the classic grilled cheese, featuring glazed donuts, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and a drizzle of maple syrup.

- 2 glazed donuts
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 slices of cooked bacon
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Slice each glazed donut in half horizontally to create a top and bottom.
- In the skillet, melt the butter. Once melted, place the bottom half of one donut in the skillet.
- Layer 2 slices of cheddar cheese on top of the donut half, followed by 2 slices of bacon.
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of maple syrup over the bacon, then place the top half of the donut on top.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
- Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and drizzle with remaining maple syrup. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños between the cheese and bacon.
- Try using different types of cheese like pepper jack or gouda for a unique flavor twist.
