Description
A refreshing and fruity drink made with fresh strawberries and soda, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup club soda
- 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and granulated sugar. Toss gently to coat the strawberries in sugar and let them sit for about 10-15 minutes until they release their juices.
- Using a fork or a muddler, mash the strawberries slightly to create a chunky puree.
- In a large glass or pitcher, combine the strawberry mixture, club soda, lemon-lime soda, and fresh lime juice. Stir gently to mix.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the strawberry soda mixture over the ice.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a sparkling twist, try adding a splash of flavored sparkling water instead of club soda.
- You can also substitute the strawberries with other berries like raspberries or blueberries for a different flavor profile.
