Description

Crispy Salmon Patties are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines flaked salmon with breadcrumbs and spices, perfect for a quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14.75 ounces) salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (any color)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should get about 8 patties.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon patties to the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary.
  4. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Once cooked, transfer the patties to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For added flavor, mix in 1 tablespoon of fresh dill or parsley into the salmon mixture.
  • Serve the patties with a side of tartar sauce or a squeeze of fresh lemon for extra zest.
