Crispy Salmon Patties are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines flaked salmon with breadcrumbs and spices, perfect for a quick meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (14.75 ounces) salmon, drained and flaked
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (any color)
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should get about 8 patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon patties to the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary.
- Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, transfer the patties to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve warm.
Notes
- For added flavor, mix in 1 tablespoon of fresh dill or parsley into the salmon mixture.
- Serve the patties with a side of tartar sauce or a squeeze of fresh lemon for extra zest.
