Description
Burger Bowls are a flavorful and healthy meal option that combines seasoned ground beef with fresh salad ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon mustard
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain excess fat, then stir in garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the spices are well incorporated.
- While the beef is cooking, prepare the salad bowls. In four large bowls, layer the mixed salad greens as the base.
- Top each bowl with an equal portion of the cooked ground beef, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, shredded cheddar cheese, and pickles.
- In a small bowl, mix together ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard to create a sauce. Drizzle over each burger bowl before serving.
Notes
- For a healthier option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
- Add avocado slices or a hard-boiled egg for extra creaminess and protein.
