Description
A delicious and easy Beef Stroganoff recipe that combines ground beef, mushrooms, and a creamy sauce served over egg noodles.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the sliced mushrooms, salt, black pepper, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth and flour until smooth. Gradually add this mixture to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream until well combined. Do not let it boil.
- Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Serve the beef stroganoff over the egg noodles and garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
- Add a splash of white wine for extra flavor when cooking the beef and mushrooms.
