Description
Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are a flavorful and easy-to-make dish featuring marinated chicken grilled to perfection and served with a spicy dipping sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Wooden or metal skewers (if using wooden, soak in water for 30 minutes)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lime juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth. Reserve half of the sauce for serving later.
- Thread the chicken cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking. Brush the skewers with some of the remaining sauce.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with the reserved sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for 30 minutes to 2 hours before grilling.
- You can also substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu for a different protein option.
- For a fresh twist, serve with a side of cucumber salad or over a bed of lettuce.
